FOR THE LOVE OF A DOG...
When I decided to share my life with my first Parson, LIPSTICK OF JACK AND CO bred in France by Karine Boulet, I couldn't imagine that I was going to fall head over heels in love with the breed. I grew up with dogs of many breeds and I am able to recognize when a dog is special. His extreme intelligence, his inexhaustible energy, his ability to think and make decisions, the different challenges he posed for me every day made Parson Russell Terriers captivated me forever.
Later, I wanted him to have a playmate and that's how IRIS TOP RUSSELL, bred in Belarus by Olga Potapova, arrived in 2019. A lovely bitch with a bright personality that does not go unnoticed anywhere.
After 30 years out of the rings, I came back to the dog show world just for fun, and they won... and won... and great Parson breeders and well known judges encouraged me to breed them. Finally I listened to them and in 2023, after years of pondering about it, studying about the breed and genetics (two things I am passionate about), and studying pedigrees (another thing I love), I bred my first litter of Parsons under my FCI affix URDAIBAIKO.
I breed less than one litter per year, so if you are interested in my puppies, I recommend you to contact me in advance. Thank you.
ABOUT MY DOGS
Dogs are an important part of our family. They have unrestricted access to the whole house and every night they sleep next to us in their own beds. They share our life and our plans, wether it is a day at the beach, a walk in the woods or our holidays.
I try them to have a life rich in experiences. Together we practice proprioception, nose work, brain games,... We have recently started working in artificial den and in the future we hope to also work blood tracking.
Neither they nor the puppies are fed kibble. Their food consists of high-quality dehydrated meat, fruits and vegetables; as well as natural snacks, yogurt, fresh fruit...
My main goal is my dogs to have a full, happy and healthy life.
ALL MY DOGS ARE IDENTIFIED BY DNA AND TESTED FOR THE MAIN GENETIC DISEASES IN THE BREED
THE PUPPIES
The puppies are born in our guest room, where they stay with their mother and me for about 5-6 weeks.
During the first week I spend practically 24 hours a day with them, making sure everything is going well and handling them from almost day one. I cut their nails, massage their tiny paws, their tummy,...
By the fourth week they are discovering toys and proprioception puzzles. They also start receiving visits from family and friends, and being handled by them.
But everything is exhausting when you are so small...
From the 5th week puppies have controlled access, to prevent them from getting into trouble, to the entire house.
During the day they rest in the puppy pen installed in the kitchen, at night they return to their "apartment" in the guest room.
At week 8, puppies receive their first vaccinations and begin to socialise.
They travel by car in their Vari Kennel, go to other houses, meet dogs of friends and family... Of course, they are always friendly dogs with all their vaccinations and deworming up to date.
